After flying high against the Northwest Knights last Wednesday, the Talawanda Brave came back down to earth. Talawanda was outmatched by the Wildcats on the road and fell 52-16. Talawanda was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-5.
Alli Robertson was her usual excellent self, scoring 28 points for Harrison. Robertson has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last 15 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Abby Smith, who scored eight points.
Talawanda's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Harrison, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.
Talawanda will head out on the road to face off against the Firebirds at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Fairmont presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Brave in Ohio (the Firebirds are ranked 100th, while the Brave are ranked 430th). As for Harrison, they will be playing at home against the Big Blue at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hamilton is no doubt hoping to put an end to a nine-game streak of away losses.
