Orangeburg Prep had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They put the hurt on the Holly Hill Academy Raiders with a sharp 9-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Orangeburg Prep got a great performance from Eli Pantaleon as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. That's the most strikeouts Pantaleon has posted since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Hunter Judy and Tilden Riley did most of the damage at the plate: Judy scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Riley scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Landon Kuck, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Orangeburg Prep pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Holly Hill Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Orangeburg Prep will be playing in front of their home fans against Bamberg-Ehrhardt at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Holly Hill Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. John's Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on April 7.
