The Metro Christian Patriots gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Mingo Valley Christian 95-34 at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-14.
When it comes to explaining why Mingo Valley Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Isaiah McLemore. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points. McLemore scored a full 44.1% of Mingo Valley Christian's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Metro Christian's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Mingo Valley Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
Metro Christian will challenge Victory Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Mingo Valley Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Webster at 2:30 p.m. on December 7th. Hopefully Webster focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 last Friday.
