The Rosepine Eagles will take on the Haughton Buccaneers in a tournament on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Rosepine's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over Pickering. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

Marli Jones25 was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Jones25 was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Rosepine got a massive performance out of Analeigh Roberts, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most doubles Roberts has posted over her last 14 matchups. Another player making a difference was Sophia Loftin, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
Rosepine hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pickering struck out seven times.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Haughton and Byrd had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Buccaneers put the hurt on the Yellow Jackets with a sharp 17-2 win on Thursday.
Kallie Sanderlin looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Skylar Hogan was a standout: she fired off two home runs and six RBI while going 2-for-3. Clara Shaffer was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs.
Haughton's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-9. As for Rosepine, their record is now 10-6.
