Norwich is 8-2 against Cunningham since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Norwich Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cunningham Wildcats at 8:00 p.m. Norwich will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Norwich posted their biggest win yet this season on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Kinsley 47-15 on the road. Given Norwich's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while Kinsley is ranked 328th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Cunningham stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past Stafford, posting a 69-39 win on the road. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Cunningham.
Luke Albers and Will Wegerer were among the main playmakers for Cunningham as the former scored 22 points along with seven steals and two blocks and the latter scored 30 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wegerer has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke McGuire, who scored six points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Norwich's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 23 points. As for Cunningham, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
Norwich didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Cunningham in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 48-43 win. Will Norwich repeat their success, or does Cunningham have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
