Calhoun won the last time they faced Browning and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Panthers. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

Ian Abramson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Quentin Ruffin, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Calhoun is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Browning, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Calhoun will head out to face off against Columbia Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cougars 3.5, the Lions 1.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Browning does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
