Union Grove took down Mt. Zion 30-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Chad Reaves ran for 127 yards during the win.
Drew led AAAAA Region 4A in scoring this week by notching 41 points on Ola. Brandon Pearson threw for 239 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 46 yards in the win.
He was 16-32 with 0 interceptions.
Marquis Terry was the best running back in the league this week. In 17 carries, he ran for 180 yards as Drew topped the Bulldogs. Pearson also contributed to the rushing game with 46 yards on the ground.
6-foot-0 quarterback Pearson of Jarrett Laws' team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,500. He has also thrown 17 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Ham. The Union Grove star has 28 catches for 503 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Union Grove takes on second place Mundy's Mill. Last week, Union Grove beat Mt. Zion, while Mundy's Mill bested Forest Park.
The Tigers' offense has racked up 158 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Paul Burgdorf's team has allowed only 69 on the year.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Mundy's Mill takes on the Wolverines. The Tigers have allowed 141 points this season, while Union Grove has given up 69. Mundy's Mill allowed 6 points last week as it topped the Panthers.
