Two dominant guards in Annique Smith and Samara Oliver are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Silas Rams will head out on the road to take on the Lakes Lancers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Silas is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Last Tuesday, Silas earned a 37-29 victory over Curtis.
Silas' success was spearheaded by the efforts of Smith, who scored 11 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds, and Tyonna Mosley, who scored eight points along with 16 rebounds and two steals. Mosley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played.
Meanwhile, Lakes was able to grind out a solid victory over Stadium on Wednesday, taking the game 45-38. The win was just what Lakes needed coming off of a 49-9 defeat in their prior game.
Silas is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Lakes, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
Silas couldn't quite finish off Lakes in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 and fell 51-49. Can Silas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
