The Bayside Marlins's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Princess Anne 77-25. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bayside has scored all season.
Several Marlins players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jessie Ware, who scored nine points along with four steals and two blocks. Ware is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Micala Poe, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Bayside's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Princess Anne, they pushed their record up to 19-2 with that victory, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Bayside will face off against Princess Anne at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Princess Anne knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine contests -- so hopefully Bayside likes a good challenge. Princess Anne is on the road again and plays Bayside at 5:30 p.m. on February 16th. Princess Anne has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 682 points over their last nine contests.
