Hillcrest fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Olympus on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Olympus Titans 56-52. The Huskies' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Hillcrest's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Myles Mahler, who posted 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Ashby, who had 14 points.

Hillcrest's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-2. As for Olympus, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Hillcrest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 64-57 defeat against Mountain View on the 28th. As for Olympus, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-55 victory against Layton on the 28th.
