The Gwinn Modeltowners fans better hope the squad plays one heck of a game on Wednesday as the odds are decidedly against them. They will be playing at home against the Escanaba Eskymos. Escanaba should still be riding high after a victory, while the Modeltowners will be looking to right the ship.
The contest between Gwinn and Calumet on Friday was not a total blowout, but with Gwinn falling 57-45 on the road, it was darn close to turning into one.
Meanwhile, Escanaba was able to grind out a solid win over West Iron County on Tuesday, winning 56-49. It was another big night for Escanaba's junior Carter Hudson, who had 18 points along with seven rebounds.
Gwinn ended up a good deal behind Escanaba when they played when the two teams previously met in February of last year, losing 71-53. Maybe the Modeltowners will have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back on MaxPreps for all the details.
