Volleyball Recap: Cobre Wins Going Away Against Anthony

Cobre saw some tournament action on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Anthony Wildcats as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Cobre was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-4, 25-9.

Bella Sias was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had nine digs and six aces.

Sias wasn't the only good server: Cobre was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since the start of last season.

Cobre's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Anthony, they dropped their record down to 3-5 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Cobre didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against El Paso Leadership Academy East on the 29th. As for Anthony, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Bowie.
