Ellicottville/West Valley Central moved up to 321 from 377 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 6 DD. The Eagles climbed the ranks as a result of a 35-8 win over Panama.
Clymer Central extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Pine Valley Central, 32-6. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
The Panthers' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Sawyer Eggleston threw for 61 and one touchdown and Eric Schutt had 49 yards receiving. On the ground Rob Benson chipped in 84 yards. Kelvin Eddy helped Panama's passing attack out by catching one ball for 12 yards.
Panama's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Bryce Payne has thrown for 232 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Eddy has four catches for 102 yards. Stephen Enlow leads the league in rushing with 668 yards.
A big matchup in Section 6 DD this week will be when Ellicottville/West Valley Central takes on Franklinville. Tim Bergan's team is currently in third, while the Panthers are in fourth.
The Eagles led the league in scoring this week after putting up 35 points on Panama.
