It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Thomas Jefferson Jaguars can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Montour on Friday, falling 51-21. Thomas Jefferson was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Montour apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2019.
Despite the loss, Thomas Jefferson still got an impressive performance from Elias Lippincott, who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown.
Montour was led to victory by Jake Wolfe and Andrew Alston. Wolfe threw for 220 yards and five touchdowns, while Alston picked up 234 receiving yards and five touchdowns. Alston's longest reception was for an incredible 93 yards.
Thomas Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Montour, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
Thomas Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Montour will face off against McKeesport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McKeesport is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.
