Meanwhile, Cook couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by Valdosta 87-49 on Wednesday. Cook has not had much luck with Valdosta recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Valdosta's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Cook, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
