Basketball Recap: Evergreen Skates Past Swanton with Ease

Evergreen put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Swanton Bulldogs 50-23. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 49-45 defeat the last time these two teams met.

When it comes to explaining why Swanton lost, don't look at Jessica Finfera. Despite the final result, she posted nine points and four steals. Finfera is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Bettinger, who had four points and six rebounds.

Evergreen's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Swanton, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Evergreen didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 55-48 loss against Montpelier on the 7th. As for Swanton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 51-20 defeat against Ottawa Hills on the 10th.
