Otto-Eldred has gone 7-2 against Coudersport recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Terrors will challenge the Falcons at 4:30 p.m. Otto-Eldred is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
Otto-Eldred came up short against Northern Potter on Tuesday, falling 10-2.
20 must be Coudersport's lucky number: they beat Smethport with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Falcons put the hurt on the Hubbers with a sharp 20-9 win. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won four matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.
Aubri Lagrua made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and six unearned) runs off seven hits. Lagrua was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI.
In other batting news, Coudersport got a massive performance out of Saige Fox, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs. Those two triples gave Fox a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lillian Clinger, who went 3-for-6 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Coudersport kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 11.6.
The victory made it two in a row for Coudersport and bumps their season record up to 5-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.0 runs over those games. As for Otto-Eldred, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
Otto-Eldred was able to grind out a solid victory over Coudersport in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 4-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Terrors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
