Arcadia waltzed into their match on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against the Northampton Yellowjackets as they made off with a 25-2 victory. Considering the Firebirds have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Brinlee Kauthen made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Ryann Giddens was incredible, going 3-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played. Olivia Lynch was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Arcadia always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Arcadia pushed their record up to 12-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Northampton, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Arcadia wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Amelia County on the 27th. Northampton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
