The Battle Spartans can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 70-45 margin over Fort Zumwalt South. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Battle has posted since November 29, 2023.
Battle's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tate McCubbin led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brandon Rooks, who scored 19 points.
Battle pushed their record up to 12-3 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 20.2 points. As for Fort Zumwalt South, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.
Battle will be playing at home against Parkview at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Zumwalt South will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Battle at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st.
