St. Lucy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 36-0 loss at the hands of the Cajon Cowboys on Saturday.
Cajon found their leader in freshman Ilene Garcia, who threw for 150 yards and six touchdowns while completing 77.8% of her passes, and also rushed for 78 yards. Vanessa Sepulveda did her part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 40 receiving yards.
St. Lucy's wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 32-12 defeat against Valley View on the 9th. As for Cajon, they have also already played their next contest, a 25-6 win against Paramount on the 9th.
