Basketball Recap: Make It Six in a Row for Boston Trinity Academy

Boston Trinity Academy extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Ceadan McCusker. The Boston Trinity Academy Lions put the hurt on the Berwick Academy Bulldogs with a sharp 54-29 win on Saturday thanks in part to McCusker, who went 10 for 17 on his way to 26 points and five rebounds. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Chan, who posted seven points in addition to six assists and four steals. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2023.

Berwick Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Daniel, who put up nine points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tucker Demers, who had two points and three steals.

Boston Trinity Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Berwick Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Boston Trinity Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Gann Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025. Berwick Academy also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall at 4:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Berwick Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season.
