Marist had already won 13 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it 14 on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Marshfield Pirates. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 contests by six runs or more this season.

Marist's victory bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Marshfield, they dropped their record down to 4-14-1 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Marist will challenge Glide at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marshfield, they will take on Junction City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
