The Trinity Academy Knights gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 62-34 victory over Garden Plain. This was payback for Trinity Academy, who suffered a 56-17 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Despite the defeat, Garden Plain saw an underclassman step up: Reese Stuhlsatz scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds.
Trinity Academy's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Garden Plain, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Trinity Academy will head out on the road to face off against Emporia on Thursday. As for Garden Plain, they will be playing at home against Rose Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
