Claxton led A Region 3A in scoring this week by notching 35 points on Wheeler County.
Calvary Day's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cavaliers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Michael Peterson has thrown for 979 yards and 7 touchdowns this season, while Khaliq Hughes has 11 catches for 212 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Savannah Christian takes on second place Claxton. Savannah Christian lost to Johnson County last week, while the Tigers bested the Bulldogs.
Fans will be treated to a premier battle in the secondary when Calvary Day's Hughes goes up against Savannah Country Day's Colton Lichtenberg.
Next week's game between the Cavaliers and the Hornets will feature a good passing match up as Peterson will test his arm against Lichtenberg's defensive ability.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Claxton takes on the Raiders. Patrick Hendrix's team has allowed 68 points this season, while Savannah Christian has given up 36. The Tigers allowed 20 points last week as they topped Wheeler County.
The league will see a high scoring game when Calvary Day and Savannah Country Day face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Mark Stroud's team comes in having scored 133 this season, while D Coyle's team has scored 66.
The Hornets made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,663 from 11,028.
