The Mater Brickell Academy Bulls suffered their biggest defeat since December 4, 2023 on Saturday. They suffered a tough 71-48 defeat at the hands of Palmer Trinity. Mater Brickell Academy just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Mater Brickell Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kwabena Jones, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Antonio Medina, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Palmer Trinity was led to victory by Jake Keller and Graham Yanowitch. Keller scored 20 points along with nine rebounds, while Yanowitch scored 21 points along with four blocks and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Keller has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Harrison Miles, who scored nine points along with seven assists.
Mater Brickell Academy bumped their record down to 5-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Palmer Trinity, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-8.
Mater Brickell Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against LaSalle at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully LaSalle focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Tuesday. As for Palmer Trinity, they will head out on the road to face off against Pine Crest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
