Softball Recap: String Theory Has No Trouble Against Thomas A. Edison

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask String Theory). They put the hurt on the Thomas A. Edison Owls with a sharp 19-12 victory on Thursday. String Theory might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by seven runs or more this season.

Danica Divincenzo made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up four earned runs but no hits. Divincenzo was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing six bases while going 3-for-5. Divincenzo is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least two every time she's taken the field this season.

In other batting news, Alexa Pietrafesa was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Alaina Petrone, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

String Theory kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Thomas A. Edison only managed eight hits.

String Theory's record is now 3-1. As for Thomas A. Edison, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
