The Hartsville Red Foxes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 69-48 walloping at the hands of Wilson. While losing is never fun, Hartsville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 167th, while Wilson is ranked ninth).
Hartsville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dorian Knowles, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jermaal Brown, who scored 13 points.
Tristan Thompson was his usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals for Wilson. Thompson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Keith Small, who scored ten points along with five assists and two steals.
Hartsville dropped their record down to 4-18 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Wilson, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 22-4.
Hartsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wilson also has no future games currently scheduled.
