The Payson Longhorns lost against the Snowflake Lobos back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Payson took a 62-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lobos. Payson has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Payson lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Anderson Hatch, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aldan Parsons, who scored ten points.
Payson's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-10. As for Snowflake, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Payson won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Roadrunners at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st. Holbrook is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 56.7 points per game this season. Chinle has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 422 points over their last six games.
