Draven Lopez's Big Game Leads Hemet over Poly
Hemet picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Draven Lopez. Lopez did his part (and then some), throwing for 255 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.6 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 72 yards for the 'W'. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2023.
Hemet pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Lopez and Hemet will head out to face off against Hillcrest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Villarreal Came Up Big in Rancho Christian's 38-20 Win
Emiliano Villarreal was a major factor in Rancho Christian's win over Valley View on Friday. Valley View had no answer to Villarreal as he threw for 243 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 69 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Rancho Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-1-1. Villarreal and Rancho Christian will challenge Poly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Hillcrest Wins Third-Straight Thanks to Matthew Ramos
Matthew Ramos was instrumental in extending Hillcrest's winning streak to three on Friday. Ramos did his part (and then some), throwing for 283 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes, and also rushing for 66 yards on only eight carries for the 'W'. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
This season, Ramos has thrown 17 touchdowns while averaging 203.7 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 71.35 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 110.05 passer rating.

Julian Sandoval Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Hillcrest was led to victory by Julian Sandoval, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Sandoval picked up 185 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The performance once again pushed his average receiving yardage north of 100 yards per game (112). He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 73 yards.
This year, Sandoval has caught 10 touchdowns while averaging 112 receiving yards per game.

Drew Neal Delivers Electric Effort Vs Poly
Hemet picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Drew Neal. Nobody could stop Neal as he rushed for 155 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards.
