After soaring to 36 points the game before, St. John's/Tipton Catholic were a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were beaten by Canton-Galva 60-8. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.
Meanwhile, Wakefield suffered a tough 40-14 defeat at the hands of Lakeside on Friday. Wakefield has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The losses dropped both teams to an identical 1-6.
Everything came up roses for St. John's/Tipton Catholic against Wakefield in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 42-8 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. John's/Tipton Catholic since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
