The Worthing Colts will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Taylor Ducks at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. Worthing will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1160th, while Taylor is ranked 328th).
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 78-40, which was the final score in Worthing's tilt against Yates on Monday.
Meanwhile, Taylor had already won 14 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 42.1 points), and they went ahead and made it 15 on Tuesday. They came out on top against Smithville by a score of 60-47.
Madyson Mitchell continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ansley Reed, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Worthing's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Taylor, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.
