Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Bountiful RedHawks walked away with it. They pulled ahead with a 36-35 photo finish over Springville. The win was nothing new for Bountiful as they're now sitting on four straight.
Bountiful can attribute much of their success to Siaki Fekitoa, who gained 126 total yards and three touchdowns. Fekitoa has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Faletau Satuala also helped with two touchdowns in total.
Several Red Devils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lisiate Valeti, who threw for 173 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Tevita Valeti, who rushed for 159 yards and two touchdowns.
Bountiful has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Springville, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3.
Bountiful will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Alta at 2:30 p.m. on November 9th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Alta is ranked 11th, while Bountiful is ranked 16th). Springville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
