The Antwerp Archers's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Lincolnview Lancers at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Antwerp earned a 43-30 victory over Edgerton. The victory was just what Antwerp needed coming off of a 45-19 loss in their prior matchup.
Even though Lincolnview has not done well against Spencerville recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Lincolnview managed a 48-44 win over Spencerville.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lincolnview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kassidy Hammons, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hammons has scored all season. Keira Breese was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five assists and four steals.
Antwerp has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Lincolnview, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-6.
