Hayley McFarlane spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Madisyn Treat was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addison Oles, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and two runs.
St. Clair was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .357 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Sterling Heights Stevenson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for St. Clair, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2.
Sterling Heights Stevenson couldn't quite get it done against St. Clair in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 6-1. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
