Falls City extended the longest winning streak in 1A-2 Region IV District 14 this week by beating Louise, 48-0. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Runge took down Pettus 68-18 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Falls City's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Cameron Soto threw for 67 yards and Stephen Harlos had 43 yards receiving. On the ground Soto chipped in 116 yards. Austen Camber helped Falls City's passing attack out by catching one ball for 18 yards.
Steve Marbach's team's Soto and Harlos have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Soto has thrown for 1121 yards this season, while Harlos has 23 catches for 311 yards. Dylan Torres from the Yellowjackets leads the league in rushing with 837 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Runge takes on the Beavers. The Yellowjackets' offense has racked up 323 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Falls City has allowed only 97 on the year.
