The Aberdeen Bobcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 60-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Black Hills. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Aberdeen of the 65-46 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Aberdeen lost, one person who can't be blamed is Manny Garcia. Despite the final result, he scored 24 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Garcia grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of JaBron Brooks, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Aberdeen has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Black Hills, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aberdeen will take on Raymond at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Raymond focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Thursday. As for Black Hills, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Shelton at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. Shelton is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
