Vincent Memorial's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Pancho Tejada led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten assists. Another player making a difference was Oscar Garza, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Central's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jared Martin, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daimaggio Wyatt, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Vincent Memorial pushed their record up to 15-6 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-11.
Vincent Memorial on the road again on Thursday and play against Calexico at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st. As for Central, they will play host again and welcome Palo Verde Valley, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Monday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Zaraivion Crowe and Martin.
