It was a proper cat-fight when Questa took on Penasco on Thursday. The Wildcats blew past the Panthers 10-0. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by ten runs or more this season.

Ricardo Leon Jr. made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over 4.2 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted over his last six games. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Micah Gonzales was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. He has become a key player for Questa: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 6-13 otherwise. James Garcia was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Questa always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They are 9-4 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Questa's record is now 9-13. As for Penasco, they dropped their record down to 4-19 with the loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Questa will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
