Buckeye Valley waltzed into their match on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Whitehall-Yearling Rams a 16-0 shutout. The Barons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by eight runs or more this season.

Buckeye Valley pushed their record up to 16-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Whitehall-Yearling, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Buckeye Valley will square off against Pickerington North at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Whitehall-Yearling does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
