Mitchell lost against Clearwater Central Catholic back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mustangs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marauders. The Mustangs' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Makaia Mohammed paced Mitchell's offense, picking up 12 kills. Mohammed got some help from Emma Hatzistefanou and her 12 assists. Maddie Bruno controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Mitchell's defeat dropped their record down to 18-4. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Mitchell will take on Weeki Wachee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, they will head out to challenge Calvary Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
