The McDonough Warhawks won the last time they faced the Mt. Zion Bulldogs, and things went their way on Tuesday too. McDonough walked away with a 50-39 win over Mt. Zion.
McDonough can attribute much of their success to Jadah Rembert, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rembert has scored all season. Zora Hill was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.
Despite the loss, Mt. Zion saw an underclassman step up: Makayla Juhan scored 17 points. That was a full 43.6% of Mt. Zion's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tayjianna Smith, who scored eight points.
McDonough's victory bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Mt. Zion, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.
McDonough does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mt. Zion also has no future games currently scheduled.
