On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kassidy Bradbury, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Emma Lilly was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Independence's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Letcher County Central, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
