After losing to the Calvary Christian Knights the last time they met, the Springwood Wildcats decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Springwood skirted past Calvary Christian 42-40.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emily Carstarphen, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Elizabeth reed, who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds.
Springwood's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Calvary Christian, their defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-2.
Springwood will take on Konos Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Konos Academy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games. As for Calvary Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Lakeside School at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
