After having lost a blowout in their previous game against De Beque, the Ridgway Demons were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 42-24 victory over Caprock Academy. For Ridgway, this counts as revenge for the 40-29 loss Caprock Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Leading Ridgway to victory were Maddie Miller and Elle Borsari. Miller scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals, while Borsari scored 14 points along with 5 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Miller has scored at least 25% of Ridgway's points. Another player making a difference was Hannah Freed, who scored 6 points along with 5 steals.
The victory got Ridgway back to even at 1-1. As for Caprock Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgway has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Non Varsity Opponent at 5:30 p.m. on December 13th. Caprock Academy will take on Crested Butte at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
