Kentwood extended the longest winning streak in 4A South Puget Sound - North this week by beating Kentridge, 38-3. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Auburn Riverside made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,443 from 5,289. The improvement was the result of a 31-21 victory over Jefferson last week.
The Ravens' dynamic duo of Kevin Thomson and Drew Wallen proved to be unstoppable against the Raiders, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Thomson threw for 72 yards and Wallen had 54 yards receiving. James Baldwin helped Auburn Riverside's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 18 yards.
Vinny Le was a key player and the best on defense this week as Auburn Riverside topped Jefferson. The 5-foot-9 junior grabbed 1 interception and grabbed 1 sack.
Tahoma's Shane Nelson and Denham Patricelli have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Nelson has thrown for 1,114 yards this season, while Patricelli has 21 catches for 437 yards. Bryant Thomas' team's Cole Huckaby leads the league in rushing yards with 388.
At the moment, the Ravens are in second, while Kent-Meridian is in fifth.
Auburn led the league in scoring this week by notching 60 points on Kentlake.
