In what's become a running theme this season, the Antwerp Archers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They really took it to Edon for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-35 victory on the road. Winning may never get old, but Antwerp sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Antwerp was led to victory by Carson Altimus and Landon Brewer. Altimus went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 0 assists, while Brewer scored 24 points along with six rebounds and five assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Brewer has scored at least a third of Antwerp's points. Another player making a difference was Ben Savina, who scored five points along with two steals.
Antwerp's victory bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Edon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.
Antwerp will look to defend their home court on Friday against Tinora at 7:30 p.m. Antwerp is coming into the game with ten straight wins at home, so Tinora is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Edon, they will head out on the road to face off against Holgate at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
