As for Bend, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9-1 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games.
On Bend's side,  Janelle Guiney spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits. Guiney has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive appearances.

 Mountain View wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  matchup,  a  5-1  win against Redmond on the 7th. As for Bend, they have also already played their next contest,  a  13-3  victory against Caldera on the 7th.
