It was a good run, but the Rockwell Marshals unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They were the victim of a tough 75-55 defeat at the hands of American Prep WV. Rockwell has struggled against American Prep WV recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Rockwell's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Roman Haueter, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Haueter is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kaysen Rife, who scored 22 points along with two steals.
American Prep WV's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Peter Hakim, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine assists. Hakim hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Sharmaarkay Mbwera, who scored 16 points along with four steals.
Rockwell's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-6. As for American Prep WV, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
Rockwell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for American Prep WV, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Intermountain Christian at 7:00 p.m. American Prep WV is coming into the match with 16 straight wins at home, so Intermountain Christian is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
