The Oak Ridge War Eagles won the last time they faced the Conroe Tigers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Oak Ridge had just enough and edged Conroe out 50-48. The win made it back-to-back wins for Oak Ridge.
Oak Ridge had a senior duo take command as Chioma (treasure) Emeh scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals and Taylor Jones scored 20 points along with three steals. The match was Jones' ninth in a row with at least ten points. Kamori Thomas was another key contributor, scoring two points along with seven steals.
Oak Ridge pushed their record up to 10-8 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Conroe, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.
Oak Ridge will head out on the road to face off against Grand Oaks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Grand Oaks will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Conroe will be home for the holidays to greet New Caney at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
