The Southeast Lancers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 51-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Erie. While losing is never fun, Southeast can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 314th, while Erie is ranked 97th).
Among those leading the charge was Ethan Dillinger, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Reid Duff, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
Southeast's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Erie, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southeast will take on Liberal at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Erie, they will head out on the road to face off against Crest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
